Terms and Conditions

Note 1.
All prices are plus VAT @ 17.5%

Note 2.
All prices are per day or part thereof.

Note 3.
Tape Stock will be charged at cost and will be paid for independently; or can be supplied by the client to the specifications required by Blue Monkey.

Note 4.
A day is 8 hours, including set-up and decampment. This includes all equipment and any vehicles.

Note 5.
Please Note: If you are shooting with a Steadicam, it is recommended that you shoot 20 mins and rest 20 mins, then shoot 20 mins and rest 20 mins etc. This is due to the weight of the camera rig.

Note 6 - Negotiations.
All negotiations will occur over the email system.
This is so that all items are written down and can be referred back to at a later date, by any party, should this be necessary.

Note 7 - Expenses.
Please Note: Expenses for all crew and staff will be automatically included in production costs unless negotiated and agreed upon before the commencement of any filming.
These Are:
Food - For all staff and crew during a filming. (Normally set at £20 a day each).
Accommodation - As and when required for all staff that need it during filming or at any other time associated with the filming, such as Location Recces.
Fuel and auxiliary vehicle hire - To and from filming locations during any part of the filming process.
All expenses are negotiable.

Note 8 - Deposits.
A 'pre-production' deposit will have to be paid in advance.
This deposit will cover initial telephone costs for such things as, securing staff and crew, location of any necessary hire equipment and the writing of a budget; as well as travel to any necessary meetings.
On entering into any negotiations, this deposit will have to be paid.
This will be £200 for a production of £1000 or under.
Or
A deposit of £500 for production with a budget over £1000.
Should the total production budget be over £5000 a 10% deposit will be required.
These 'pre-production deposits' are non-refundable.

Note 9 - Movement of the Truck
The set-up and decampment of the truck can take some time. Usually one half day is recommended for the set-up and a second half day for the decampment.
These half days will be charged at a flat rate of £100 each, so please take this into consideration when only filming for one or two days.

Note 10 - Payments Timetable
Pre-Production - 10%
This payment is explaned in Note 8 above.
On Signing of a Contract - 25%
This will be paid when a 'Production Contract' detailing all requirements, has been signed between Blue Monkey Television Ltd and yourselves, the client.
Commencement of Filming - 25%
This will be paid so the funds are 'cleared' on or before the first day of filming.
Commencement of 'First Edit' - 25%
This will be paid so the funds are cleared on or before the first day of Editing
(This will include a rough edit).
Completion of Edit - 10%
This payment will be paid, upon completion of the edit to the standard required by the client.
Final 'Sign Off' - 5%
Once the production has been signed off by the client as 'Compleated to their requirements' this payment will be made.
After this, the project is free to go to duplication, broadcast or distribution.

Note 11 - Productions outside of the UK
For productions outside of the UK, the client will be responsible for the payment of funds necessary for Blue Monkey Television Ltd, it's equipment and all of it's staff to travel to the filming location and safely return to the United Kingdom after filming.
These funds will have to be paid and cleared in advance of departure. (This travel payment is non-refundable)

Note 12 - Cancellations
Should a cancellation occur within 24 hours of a production commencing a 100% charge will be levied for the whole production to the client.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the commencement of a production a 50% charge will be levied to the client.
Should a filming contract be cancelled by the client, mid production/filming, due to circumstances outside the control of Blue Monkey Television or it's client; the client will be responsible for the payment of funds necessary for Blue Monkey Television, it's equipment and all of it's staff to return safely to the United Kingdom.
All externally hired equipment will have to be paid in full by the client.
